During my employment with the Ohio School Facilities Commission from November 2003 until November 2010, I had several occasions to work with the Giambone Construction Company.  They successfully completed several school construction projects in the Cleveland Municipal School District and Shaw High School in East Cleveland School District.  On most of the projects Giambrone Construction was the General Trades contractor and responsible for the lion’s share of the work.  Multi-prime construction projects always have problems with maintaining a schedule and quality workmanship.  My experiences with Giambrone Construction have been no different.  The difference is in how Giambone Construction addresses and solves the problems.  I was always pleased to see Giambrone Construction at the top of the low bidder list.  I knew I was getting a quality contractor that knew what they were doing and would work with me to ensure a quality project that we would reflect well for both of us.

The Ravenna School District is in the process of completing a 158,000 square foot new high school building at a cost of $28,000,000. Giambrone had been awarded the contract as the General Contractor for our project. I came to know David and Patricia a little over two years ago. Our project is moving to completion in about 2 months. One of the things I remember about first meeting David was his insistence on working in partnerships. From day one, GCI has worked to make that happen for our project. GCI woks as a team to make the project happen. Whenever an issue would surface, Dave was made aware of the matter. He worked with his team/ staff and the other contractors on site to bring a resolve. Collaboration and partnerships are not just words with their firm. They srtrive to bring matters to a successful resolve. Dave and Patricia are always available to meet with the school administration and school board to keep the communication open. The firm works verity well with our architect.  I am amazed at the professional contacts Dave has to help to assist when necessary. GCI is very professional in the administration of all the necessary certification and documentation for this project. (Our project is co-funded with the Ohio School Facilities Commission).  Paper work is always on time and in order.
